Forging ahead

At a steady but slowish pace I have been using both this Personal Blog, by blogger.com and my Personal Web Site, by Google Sites, I'm slowly getting used to the interface and fairly standard WYSIWYG editor, good enough for getting the site up and running quite easily.

The Blog is a little more advanced with better choice of gadgets for your site to utilise, gadgets can help you to add content via RSS feeds from online news providers, stock quotes, YouTube videos and much much more. The blog has tags, called labels on the Blogger system, tags are great!

Anyway, overall, a pleasant experience, I'm quite enjoying the simple life ;o)

Need a fifth post!

Well I have been using the google blog service Blogger for a few days now, I have been configuring it and testing it out. For the most part it is quite nice, but it is not for hand html coders, they would get quite frustrated I think. Still it's good enough for someone who just wants a simple web site.

Personally I am just using it to leave my place on the web with one of Google's many offerings, they sure do have quite a lot of services they offer users these days and they are always improving things, yep I admit it I am a bit of a fanboy for Google in general, they rarely let me down if ever.

Oh yeah, what I said above is what I believe, but really this post is to fill up my feed aggregator clients that pull the RSS feed from this site.

OzMS tidy up needed

I need to write something for the front page of OzMS, I am getting the odd email or two asking why they can't join, or why they can't sign in, I need to address this. I need to have a look at how I can put it into archived mode at the moment it is just turned off to new sign ups and logins, the front page should just be a static page now with some information explaining about why, and some links maybe.

I will have to wait until the brain has a good day and when I'm not fatigued, these days are less prevalent, but I still have good days. I am saving the replies I make to people that are emailing me so I can use bits when I write something for the front page of OzMS.

Raspberry lemonade, yum!

Last week when I did my shopping, as usual checked out the specials, not only to save money but it's also a great chance to try different products you wouldn't normally buy.

I'm not much of a fizzy drink consumer only occasionally partaking, I usually get a bottle of coke or a flavoured mineral water, in the specials this week something caught my eye, "Charlie's Honest Quencher Drink Raspberry Lemonade Chilled" it cost about $4.00 for a 1.5 litre bottle (on special), a square plastic bottle at that. You can also get a traditional Lemonade as well and quite a few other interesting products, mainly drinks I think and some smoothies.

I might have to try some of their other beverages, they are all a little different, but sound nice regardless. I was a little surprised when I took my first drink, it wasn't fizzy, perfect, it's not a fizzy type lemonade, it's a very nice drop, I have bought it again in this weeks shop.

I have added a photo of the bottle it comes in when it's full as I had consumed both the original bottles, they make great bottles to use for cold water as well.

First Android phone test

Posting from Android mobile phone, gotta test these devices to see if they work. Let's hope it does :-)

I'm really starting to enjoy the whole Android and Google integration, it all just seems to work, I like things that just work, makes life so much easier.

I still want to get an Android Tablet at some stage, they're a bit pricey still, eh, we live in hope for prices to come down to the poor man's level lol.
